Wreck & Salvage is a joint effort among 4 other independent video producers and myself. We produce a bi-weekly video podcast featuring original comedy and entertainment videos and animations.
I developed the web site wreckandsalvage.com using Wordpress, PHP, XHTML/CSS, and some Javascript. I hacked Wordpress to generate different RSS 2.0 compliant feeds for each of our 3 media formats.
On the video side, I produce the series Ornamental Concrete that airs on Wreck & Salvage every other Thursday using a mix of live action and stop-motion animation, with homemade sets, scripts, and 3-point lighting setup.
I grab frames for animation in StopMotion Pro, edit in Adobe Premiere, capture audio in Sony Sound Forge, and occasionally add extra stuff in After Effects.
An accomplished guitarist and vocalist, Vernon Black spent most of the past 20 years touring, recording and film tracking with music legends like Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Chakka Kahn and Lionel Richie. More recently, he’s performed and recorded with contemporary artists including Ashanti, Mariah Carey, India Aire, Busta Rhymes and Celine Dion. His work can be heard in films like “The Bodyguard,” “License to Kill,” and “Beverly Hills Cop II;” in advertising jingles for Jaguar, Chevrolet, Toyota, Nissan, Mattel and Levi’s; and in songs and sound effects on video games for Sony Play Station, Nintendo, Sega and EA Sports (Electronic Arts). And at the Jimi Hendrix Festival at Bumbershoot Stadium in Seattle Washington he was the co-music director and opened the show with the legendary "Experience" (Jimi Hendrix’s original band) - Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Noel Redding (bass).
Vernon is also a producer, composer and music director. Credits include; The Spice Girls (music director), Regina Belle (composer), Phillip Bailey (composer), Lenny Williams (composer, producer) and his 1st solo record “Sneak Previews” (composer, producer) {guest artists including Herbie Hancock, Steve Smith, Tom Coster, Phillip Bailey} and for multiple artists on his “Ice Black Productions” production company / independent record label.
Also an innovator of musical instrument design, Vernon designs his own electric guitars. He is the co-designer of the MP2 digital guitar preamp, which won the award for best guitar processor of 1993. He also received an award from the DVD Association for co-designing the DVD on CD (multi layered enhanced cd) in 2000.
In the year 2004, Vernon took a break from the "guitarist for hire" market to create a situation that would allow him to pursue and develop his own producing and writing career as well as being a solo artist. Equally so, he was motivated to create a place that gave artists a more fair and friendly (artist based business) environment. This led to the creation of his production company / independent record label "Ice Black Productions".

Preying Lizard Music promotes Indie bands and artists with several highly rated podcast radio shows. Each show features a different playlist and genres. You'll find everything from hard rock to soft rock and all points in between. No crap is played on the shows and every song is handpicked by host Les Lewellyn from the Southern Rock band Dixie Lizard.
Funny, irreverent, cynical, optimistic, dreamer and Taurus with a stubborn streak, and a fondness for Jerry Garcia ties, thrives on working hard with smart people. A former, Radio DJ, and Program Director, Television Program Director, Public Affairs Officer, Speech Writer, Award Winning Radio Spot writer, Computer Tech, Event Producer, and Customer Service Guru is always looking for a new challenge. Communicates and plays well with others. Won't work with whiners. Wonders why no one seems to know how to load the dishwasher properly.
Striving in Greater Hopes (S.i.G.H) is a melodic hard rock act from Long Island, New York that is ready to break out into today’s evolving music scene. S.i.G.H has been known to leave audiences in a state of euphoria and awe with their haunting vocals, crushing guitars and thunderous rhythm section. The members of the band include Sigh Robes on vocals, JayR Castillo on bass, Daniel Buquicchio on guitars and Frankie Bianco on drums. Each member of the band contributes their influences into the music that they write, record and produce. This creates a dynamic hard rock group that draws inspiration from pop rock, alternative, metal, and blues. S.i.G.H does not wish to align themselves with a particular genre or scene. Their goal is to create music that people can relate to. The band has built their own studio where they recently recorded their first full length album, “Between Sin and Solitude”. The album’s eleven tracks represent the band’s originality and bring together their diverse musical and cultural backgrounds. Each member of S.i.G.H has the same goal: to play music for the masses. They are ambitious, professional, and above all dedicated to the music that they play. Striving in Greater Hopes is certainly a band to look out for in today’s colorful urban rock scene.

Things that grow generally need to be pruned. Hard as it is, the results are usually proportionately spectacular to the pruning. God desires fruit in our lives, and Hes the one to supply the growth.
Bloomington Christian SchoolThis is Anthony Ambriz; he was born on May 20, 1991. He has been attending Bloomington Christian since preschool; he is on the varsity Basketball Team and has a chance for a scholarship as he goes in to the senior classBloomington Christian has been his home; Anthony is devastated because the school will not give his parents more time to come up with the tuition. We are in a recession, and times are hard. Anthonys mother has requested to volunteer as an assistant or to work at the school to help out in any manner, but she was denied. His father was also denied; even thou his father has help out Bloomington Christian with concrete work.It is understandable that business is business, but this is the future of a young man who has been attended this school for 12 years.I am his auntie Jessielee and I am asking for anyone and everyone to contact the school at (909) 877-1239 ask for Mr. Slocum or the headmaster, or the principle on Anthonys behalf, he just needs a chance. The school wants the tuition upfront and I would pay the tuition myself if I had the funds available. If you go to their website: http://www.privateschoolreview.com/school_ov/school_id/1459You will see a decline in attendance because the Mr. Slocum just will not work with parents. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.THANK YOU, Jessielee Hernandez (310) 425-5823
In this abstract moving background witness the chaos of an unstable hypercube. Layers of blue particles dance and spin on your screen producing brilliant translucent trails and hard edges that twist and deform into cube-like structures. A great abstract animated background for your collection! http://www.dvdmenubacks.com
We were asked to generate a worm-hole looking background video for a friend of ours and we've decided to pair an extreme variation on this video with some hard hitting audio in this fantastic video background. 53 seconds of travel through this wormhole with synchronized audio gives you a breathtaking intro video to use in your own project. Video and Audio are separate uncompressed format files within this FFU AVI package, so you get the video and the audio and can put them together or use your own audio! http://www.dvdmenubacks.com
